The LX electric chain hoist is designed to meet the need for ultra efficient lifting and material handling in today’s competitive world and is based on a highly modular and versatile concept with a huge number of hoist and trolley constructions. The range of Street LX chain hoists is one of the most comprehensive in the market and represent unbeatable value for money.
The LX range is available in capacities from 125kg up to 5 tonne in almost every supply voltage with single and dual speed options. Hoists are available in standard headroom construction or low headroom with chain diverter. LX hoists are designed for applications with eye suspension or powered, push, or hand geared trolley. All capacities are available at M5 (FEB 2m) with a wide variety of hoist speeds. All standard models are manufactured with rated capacities in metric tonnes or U.S tons.

The LX Range
LX Hoist with Powered Trolley
The most popular LX hoist format is suitable for use on single girder overhead cranes, jib cranes and monorails. The LX chain hoist is suspended from a four wheeled trolley which is powered via a flange mounted gearbox by a two speed electric motor with an adjustable brake. The wheels are machined from steel with a single flange and a slight radius on the running surface to ensure good contact when running on either flat or tapered beam flanges. Two wheels are driven to provide perfect traction even on uneven running surfaces.

LX Hoist with Manual Push Trolley
This LX hoist construction is suitable for use on any monorail application requiring powered lifting but push travel. The LX chain hoist is suspended from a four wheeled manual trolley. The wheels are machined from steel with a single flange and a slight radius on the running surface to ensure good contact when running on either flat or tapered beam flanges. Manual push travel allows very accurate positioning and prevents dragging of the load.

Hook suspension LX chain hoists are often the best solution when fixed position powered hoisting is required and they can be mounted on a wide variety of structures. However they are also used extensively on various brands of light track systems where manufacturers supply monorails and light cranes with powered or manual trolleys with a hook mounting facility but no hoist.

LX chain hoists with eye suspension are designed for similar applications to those described to the left for hook suspension hoists but they provide a lower headroom solution to maximize lifting height in restricted headroom applications.
