Electric Chain Hoists (LX)

Lifting capacities from 125kg to 5 tonnes

The Street LX: Our Smallest Hoist, Built for Maximum Reliability and Endurance.

The LX electric chain hoist is designed to meet the need for ultra efficient lifting and material handling in today’s competitive world and is based on a highly modular and versatile concept with a huge number of hoist and trolley constructions. The range of Street LX chain hoists is one of the most comprehensive in the market and represent unbeatable value for money.

The LX range is available in capacities from 125kg up to 5 tonne in almost every supply voltage with single and dual speed options. Hoists are available in standard headroom construction or low headroom with chain diverter. LX hoists are designed for applications with eye suspension or powered, push, or hand geared trolley. All capacities are available at M5 (FEB 2m) with a wide variety of hoist speeds. All standard models are manufactured with rated capacities in metric tonnes or U.S tons.

LX hoist key features

Compact and Lightweight Design
Designed with very compact dimensions to optimise hook height and side approaches, LX electric chain hoists fit neatly into modern workstations and crane kits. When headroom is tight, an ultra low headroom configuration with chain diverter is available to help you recover lifting height in restricted roof spaces.
Durability and Longevity
A CNC-machined gearbox with hardened, heat-treated gears supports long service life, backed by a high-precision, zinc-coated load chain and wear-resistant drive components designed for consistent performance in industrial use.
Smooth and Precise Operation
Single or dual-speed control options support accurate load positioning, and the precision-calibrated chain guide helps maintain steady, predictable chain travel across repeated lifts. For powered travel applications, optional inverter control can deliver smoother trolley motion where finer handling is needed.
Energy Efficiency
The LX range uses a ventilated motor with thermal protection to support efficient operation across light to medium-duty cycles, helping reduce avoidable heat build-up during frequent lifting.
Safety Features
Reliable load holding is supported by a heavy-duty, long-life disc brake, while overload protection is provided by a friction-type torque-limiting clutch to help prevent lifting beyond rated capacity. Chain guide systems reduce the risk of chain tangling or damage, supporting safer operation and more consistent lifting over time.
Ease of Maintenance
Key components are designed for straightforward servicing, with asbestos-free brake linings and a modular, service-friendly build that helps reduce downtime during inspections and routine maintenance.
Versatility
With capacities from 125 kg to 5 tonnes (M5 / FEM 2m), the LX range covers everything from a 1 ton electric chain hoist for assembly cells to an electric chain hoist 5 ton for heavier maintenance and handling tasks. Choose standard or low headroom construction, plus eye suspension, or push travel, hand-geared travel and powered travel trolleys to match your beam, runway and operating style.
Quiet Operation
Controlled lifting and smooth chain travel help reduce mechanical noise and load “snatch”, which in turn lowers day-to-day disruption on the shop floor. That makes LX a better fit for production areas and workstations where people are working close to the lift and clear communication matters.
Customisable Options
Specify lift height and hoisting speed to suit your process, select pendant or radio control, and simplify installation with quick-release plug-and-socket electrics. Protection levels up to IP54/IP55 and Class F insulation are available depending on model, alongside wide voltage options for different site supplies.
